Voogu Corporation (“Voogu”) is a non-profit Florida corporation dedicated to providing free educational and training opportunities in the Information Technology sector for all who seek it. The focus of Voogu is to immerse its students deep into real-world projects which translate into real-world experience. By adopting an apprenticeship model, students will gain valuable experience from industry experts and grow connections with leading industry companies.
The project will have several roles where each role is part of the team. Each team member will receive a training curriculum tailored to the role. At the completion of the project, team members may wish to change to another role or to continue on with advanced level of training within a role. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO JOIN THE TEAM!
Voogu’s first project will be a 3D game for the Microsoft XBOX Live Community Game platform running on the XBOX-360. The game will teach students all aspects of creating and implementing a new game title. Roles available on the project team include:
· Project Manager ( Role has been filled)
· 3D Artists
· Animation
· Level Designers
· Sound Designers
· Game Testers
· Game Engine Developers (One position taken)
· Game Viewer Developers
· Web Site Developers ( Role has been filled)
· Quality Assurance Testers
· Technical Writers
Each week we intend to provide at least 2 hours of on-line training on all topics to all team members. The training will cover all aspects of game development. In addition, mentoring to all team members will be offered as requested by the student. The project team will meet regularly each weekend at a time mutually good to all.
